Every year, our state reps pass a budget that funds our schools, hospitals, roads, and more. This is the money that fuels our state and provides working-class people with vital public services. While it must be approved by a majority, the details are decided by 3 people. (2/4)
In the spring, @CarlHeastie, @AndreaSCousins, and @NYGovCuomo get together and hammer out the details. Unless there is overwhelming public pressure, these are the only people who decide what gets cut and what gets funded.
