New developments in NYC’s vaccination program are coming fast and furious.

Here’s the latest on who can get vaccination, where and when sites are open, and how to schedule.

1/
In addition to healthcare & nursing homes, new groups now eligible are:
* aged 75+
* teachers & education workers (includes childcare...still unclear if this includes higher ed)
* first responders & public safety workers (includes correction officers)
* public transit workers

2/
All groups can go to any public vaccination site.

There’s a new website to find a place near you to get the vaccine: https://vaccinefinder.nyc.gov/

(There is still a patchwork of different scheduling systems for various providers which is a problem and needs to be fixed.)

3/
No matter your category, you have to complete an eligibility form before your appointment: https://forms.ny.gov/s3/vaccine

At your appointment you will need to present proof of employment (work ID, recent pay stub, or letter from your employer).

4/
Covid vaccine appointments are going fast now in NYC. Many sites have none available. They are not making appointments more than a couple of weeks out because of uncertainty about supply.

But new appointments slots will be added daily--keep checking.

5/
NYC has opened two “mass vaccination” sites which will soon be open 24/7:
* Brooklyn Army Terminal
* Bathgate Industrial Park

Opening soon:
* La Marqueta in East Harlem
* One each in Qns & S.I. (TBD)

*** The state is opening a mass vaccination on Weds at Javits Center. ***

6/
There also are dedicated sites for city workers opening Monday:

Run by @SOMOScare:
* Mn- Brandeis H.S.
* Bx- Taft H.S.
* Bk- George Wingate H.S.

Run by @FDNY:
* Qn- John Adams HS
* S.I.- Susan Wagner HS

7/
Stay tuned… we will continue to update you as the vaccination program in NYC ramps up.

One more detail: the city will soon be opening (tomorrow?) a phone # for people aged 75+ to call and schedule a vaccine appointment. This will only be for ease of access, won't offer any appointments not available online.
