Nursing homes, residential units are hit with a double whammy of having staff out due to being contacts of cases in the units, but also because they are contacts of cases in the community.
The staffing crisis is hitting much harder and faster than wave 1.

The first wave started off in the community and entered vulnerable settings like nursing homes quite quickly. We didn't really see that in wave 2. We are seeing that in wave 3 again.
Despite sufficient PPE in these environments this time round, transmission is still difficult to control. It's better than wave 1, but not for all places.

The daily case number is high, and also an underestimate of what is really happening. Many people won't be diagnosed.
You've got to assume that anyone you might meet is a positive. This is the time, of all the times in the past 10 months, that you need to stay at home.
