This is the same group who were fine with the "Muslim Ban", same group who get Muslims and Arabs kicked off planes because they were speaking Arabic, or reading, or just generally existing there. Same group who... and yet... the dissonance, it's too much.
Just thinking about all the times I've been taken to secondary interrogation spaces at airports, imagining if I, a big bearded Arab, made a spectacle like this. How much worse might it have gone? I swallow it, not only out of fear, but because I know how privileged I am.
There are millions of refugees who can't go anywhere, who are imprisoned, cut off from their families, because of people like this, and that's something all of us have to live with. Ngl it's fucking me up to hear the genuine grief in this voice.
The distance in our worlds! Whew. Listen, I for one am down with the State crushing these white people. Crush us all alike already, it's probably the only chance we have to arrive at a real revolution.
