@crystalchappell #Birdpic4Anne 1- Over last 3 wks Ive been hunting Owls and coming up short. Got a lead today, took shot of maybe bird...

2-As you can see...what I got was a bunch of nothing... lol Darn it! Looking at several birders around me, a woman sees my hapless face and says, "See that tree, look toward the bottom. He's difficult to see..." So I look and try again...

3-I don't see the bird, but I'm resigned to keep taking a general photo in hopes I spot the bird when I get home. I continue, then step aside when new folks show up to let them try, then try to find a better angle and finally, I spot a white patch, snap a photo and find him/her

4-as you can see, not the greatest photo, but, it's a new bird for me, a Long Eared Owl. Supposedly there were four in the brush, but only one minded getting his photo taken. Here is the best of what I got... not great, but still better than nothing.
