I actually think many white liberals are way more afraid of other white people than they are afraid of Black people and people of color. So afraid that they don't even acknowledge it. We are all being held hostage to white moderates' sublimated fear of white vigilante violence.

And some of the fear is not just about physical violence and extremism. They're afraid of losing their own hold on power by having to *pay a price* (any price at all) for opposing white power.

This is why the discourse of "healing" is really about protecting white comfort. It involves appeasing white supremacist extremists, ensuring the continued reign of white elites *and* protecting the racial and economic privileges afforded to the ordinary white masses as well.
