First let me say that Abel is one of my favorite artists of all time. His blend of dream pop and rnb in his early career to his 80s pop and rnb blends of recent memory I have loved his music for so long. Narrowing it down to my 10 favorite songs was hard asf.

A song split into two parts, this song is the climax of Thursday both quality and story wise. The percussion on these songs hits like a bullet and his beautifully depressing vocals sing of the girl who falls in love with him but he’s just gonna leave her.

On the first part he warns her not to fall in love, on the second she disregards this and allows it to happen. She ends up shooting something in relation to Abel, this is left up to us to decide.

This song is so fucking catchy. Bringing one of his strongest choruses and an addicting beat I could listen to this song for hours. Abel, like much of House of Balloons, is horny asf on this song and it creates the perfect song.

The peak of rapping Abel right here. He raps about his path to fame from just the mere sidewalks. With an amazing feature from none other than Kendrick Lamar, which I believe to be one of his best, the post-chorus from Daniel Wilson, and the driving beat this song

activities that take place at these parties. The beat on Glass Table Girls is grimy and menacing and his vocals are the dirtiest and most unrefined they have ever been but in the best way possible.

This was my song of the year for 2020 for the longest time. The driving retro synths that background the vulnerability that Abel presents. The saxophone on the latter half of this song is pristine and vibrant that contrasts the darker manipulative lyrics.

retro synths that hit like a truck and remind us of his current pop lane. No one is really making pop music like Abel does right now if you look at his deeper album cuts not just his singles. This song is just the amazing culmination of everything to love about his music.
