Organized groups of SS, SA, Hitler Youth, and German citizens destroyed & looted > 7,000 Jewish businesses. The government ordered police to stand down and for firefighters to only take action to save "Aryan" buildings from destruction.

These groups of SS, SA, Hitler Youth, and others targeted 200+ synagogues across Germany, forcing rabbis to desecrate their sacred books and objects & laying waste to them.

That night and into the following days, the Third Reich rounded up, arrested, and interned between 25,000 and 30,000 Jewish males, moving them in public through cities and towns to railroad stations, with their final destinations of Dachau, Sachsenhausen, and Buchenwald

Lastly, I abhor the sword analogy -- because those who will suffer the most when that sword is strengthened through heating it, hammering it, and plunging it into cold water are the same bodies (Black, brown, female, LGBQT) that have already borne so much.
