Thoughts on #RadRes, #MedEd, and #VirtualTeaching this year:

This week I gave 9 hours of Neuroradiology review to res in different states - a feat that wouldn’t have been an option a year ago without travel, expense, and more time.
As much as we kid about not being able to handle another Zoom meeting for the day, it’s a pretty phenomenal tool that’s been around but not utilized to its potential until the pandemic forced our hand.
While I hope we get to learn together in person again (and soon!), I also hope we hold on to some of these adaptations to make it easier on individuals.

It makes me wonder what other things are here to stay.
Apart from being in awe of how technology has made #distancelearning & teaching seamless, I’ve gained some insight into what our residents are experiencing as they prepare for exams.

This year’s R4s have risen to the occasion, much like MS4s I’ve met on the interview trail...
Despite interruptions and delays in their educational opportunities, they’re determined and optimistic.

I think they deserve recognition and our admiration.
