The beautiful thing about the limited availability of resources on sidereal astrology is that learning partially rests upon the ability to learn in real time based upon direct observation. https://twitter.com/PeoplesOracle/status/1348327397934985218
I have been meaning to make a thread about the overlap between sidereal astrology and indigenous knowledge systems (I speak from the perspective of Anishinaabeg). But this is a great example of the concept of grounded normativity.
Capitalism and imperialist settler colonialism set a precedent for anything our hearts desire to be immediately accessible, ready for consumption or wielded toward progress. This robs us of the ability to interpret and apply knowledge in direct relation to our experiences.
What is there to know that cannot be inferred from reality? How useful is it to receive a detailed roadmap of the future when there are multitudes of lessons/insight to be had whilst navigating this current moment?
Why is it important to cross reference @PeoplesOracle s work against other astrologers when you can listen to her interpretations and measure the relevance for yourself based upon your own experiences? Who is a better expert on your own reality than you?
I understand how frustrating it is to have to surrender to a measured pace of learning how to achieve liberation. Particularly when the world is collapsing around us and we’re grasping for semblances of clarity, trust, hope, etc.
However, upholding the expectation to have knowledge readily available negates the depth of commitment, care, and intentionality that goes into developing a relationship with a new knowledge system and the responsibilities that come with it.
