I can fiercely disagree with your viewpoint and respect you as long as I know to truly have the protection of the #Constitution as the very top priority over your own interest. If your self interest is placed first, especially if you are a politician, you are not trustworthy.
In this moment of crisis, there are leaders from both parties that came on the side of the Constitution. Even if I have disagreed with your viewpoint and approach to everything—You have my respect.
The MOST untrustworthy and treasonous politicians and leaders right now are those that still put their self interest first even after we experience a historic insurrection. That’s a thick line that tells you everything you need to know about their character and blind ambition.
These leaders who place their blinded self ambitions ahead of the constitution have NO place in leadership of this Country, any State or civil service of any kind for life. Civil service requires placing the Constitution first over self!!!
Cancelling these leaders who place self over Constitution from any possibility of civil service is NOT cancelling #freespeech. They can rant and rave all they want. We cannot afford them to have and use POWER to further their self interest at the expense of Democracy.
Free Speech does not cover breaking into my house or punching me in the face because you disagree with me. Those who believe it does have NO place in civic service and leadership in defense of Democracy!!!!
This applies to ANY party and ANY civic leader!!!
There MUST be full undiluted strength of consequences for those that have violated their oath to defend the Constitution leading up to Jan 6 and in this aftermath!!!
YES those leaders should be “cancelled” from leading! They violated the sacred oath. They should not be cancelled from speaking out as a private citizen (not inciting violence/lawlessness) but we can’t have them doing it from a sacred post that requires a higher standard and oath
Make no mistake — I am all for good political strategy to win! But don’t break the law, don’t lie, don’t steal and at the end of the day —win for the Constitution!
It is time for @senatemajldr @Mike_Pence @SpeakerPelosi to make leaders in the Whitehouse and Congress who have violated the oath to defend the Constitution to no longer have the ability to use their position for their blind self ambition at the sacrifice of the Constitution.
Now is time to use whatever lawful maneuvers or strategies to make those treasonous leaders who placed their self over defense of the Constitution the recipient of the full consequences of their actions in support and incitement of insurrection against this Country!!!
It is a requirement for healing and restoring trust in our Democracy.
We are supposed to be and have been the GOLD standard for Democracy and its resilience. It withstood! Our electoral college functioned as designed to withstand precisely the scenario we are facing. However we should never have gotten this close to crumbling. We let it happen!!!
We must NEVER let our Democracy come this close to collapse for 1000s of yrs!!! This cannot be viewed more lightly as election cycle political games or theatre that some politicians are making to be—there are no nuances & justifications. You crossed the line & broke your oath.
