"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Said this hundreds of times as a kid, we likely all did

"liberty and justice for all"
liberty = freedom, the ability to make your own choices in life
justice = equal protection under the law
all = all races, all sexes, all religions, all economic status

These words mean something to me, they mean something to most of us, they are at the heart of what it means to be an American
When Black citizens get shot and killed by cops in situations white citizens would walk away from that isn't equal justice

There are parts of society that don't have the same freedoms, don't receive the same justice. There are countless examples of this in recent years.
Combine that all of us quarantined and facing the health and economic fears of a pandemic and last spring was a tinderbox.

But I don't need to feel empathy, I need to stand up, discuss, educate, and vote.

The last few days have been filled with whataboutism. Comparing the Capitol insurrection to the 2020 riots.
It's a false equivalency.
The election fraud theme is and always was a lie. Regardless, we are a country of laws and process

Being a sore loser doesn't make you a martyr, it doesn't make you a Patriot. It makes you a bigger loser. You want to complain about Biden the next four years, this wonderful country gives you that right, whereas many people in the world have no such freedom.

I'll fight for 'liberty and justice for all' because I am an American and that is what every citizen is promised and it only happens if we all actually believe in it
Fighting because you lost a free and fair election or because your guy got less votes then the other guy?
