This is a little something I wrote to @BangtanAcademy_ on their discord server today. I thought I would share this here too as, if you are looking to learn Korean, I want everyone to know how amazing they really are and why you need to be a part of this group... Please read!

I have added more details in this thread than I put on the server to help with context for those of you not a part of @BangtanAcademy_ yet in these brackets {}

@BangtanAcademy_ Honestly, joining durring Christmas was so exciting, having to choose courses and get in homework before the new year was hectic and {a bit} frustrating and {starting out} learning Korean while also trying to learn how to use and navagate discord...

{for someone who is older, trying to learn a new technology while also struggling with a bit of a learning dissability} doing all this and working full time has been a bit overwhelming. Many tears have been shed so far but I am doing it!...

Being vulnerable enough to ask very basic, 'everyone seems to know this already' questions has been the hardest, however, I must say that I have gotten nothing but patience and support from everyone. From newbies to prefects to admins...

and my heart, though a bit sensitive at the moment, soars knowing that I have every single one of you at Bangtan Academy here to help. It's like the family I never knew I needed. So from the bottom of my worn out heart, thank you all. For everything!

{Ending notes} - If you, also, want to learn Korean surrounded with people who support and appreciate you and your struggle, without judgment or expectations. If you are the type of person who learns better with the structure of a lesson plan...

and homework submissions to make sure you are on the right path. If you are someone who wishes you could ask someone *why* something is the way it is, I urge you to turn on Notifications for @BangtanAcademy_ so that the next time they have more openings (this happens randomly...

but is worth the wait) you will be notified of the openings when they happen. Be ready with a notebook dedicated to learning Korean, some fun stationary (if your into that kind of thing) and the willingness to set aside a minimum of a few hours a week to learning this new...

skill set then I highly suggest looking into joining when you can. There is so much to do, learn, so many fun and awesome people to talk to. This world-wide group of amazing people who spend their unpaid free time to grade, keep tabs, and support you through your Korean...

language journey is unlike anything I have ever come across and it is really the most amazing thing to be a part of. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer the ones I know how to and I am sure @BangtanAcademy_ would be happy to answer you too...

Becoming a part of this online family is the best Christmas gift I ever gave myself and if this is up your ally I hope you take the first steps to join us as well. (no worries if you find it's not your thing, you will be welcome to leave at any point...

and rejoin any time you feel ready and they open more spaces.)
