How many times has the most privileged person in the room thought they had the hottest take ever, and it was something more marginalized folks have been writing about for decades?
This is basically the same thing.
It’s entitlement, assumed superiority and no real knowledge.

There’s no work, no building. No studying. No planning.
It’s just “I’m gonna show up and get what I want because I live in a society that has always pandered to me, and not only am I *entitled* to get what I want, I can’t fuck it up Bc I’m more special that others”
Hubris.

And I’m glad it didn’t work out, obviously.
But it seems clear af to me that this situation really exemplifies privilege. Not Bc cops sided with them, but Bc they really conflated their entitlement with competence.
That’s what privilege ultimately does.

Obvs the motives, methods are different. But the core is a privileged, arrogant, entitled mentality-
How are these ppl different than, say, a douchey white dude (tm) who thinks he can explain racism better than Black people in the room without an ounce of research?
