Many are faced with this challenge now because events are too horrible to stay quiet. They say they weren't delinquent, but that something changed in the president. The problem: officials were identifying in 2015 the behavior identified as wrong today. 2/4
Some professing fresh revelation today had identified the danger back then. Some campaigned against it. To believe Donald Trump changed between when the GOP was identifying the danger in 2015 and the full arrival of events today...3/4
...requires a metaphysical impossibility: that Donald Trump changed. He does not change who he is. This is not an opinion. It is an immovable thing about him and was the main pitch of his presidential campaign.
In this case, past performance was a total guarantee of future results.
