While we’re on Justin Price...”liberal” states even Rhode Island are not immune from shitty politics— we are not better then the south or the Midwest just because we elect a Democratic federal delegation and state legislature. We trail our neighboring states in most issues.

We commit far less dollars to affordable housing, our public school districts are failing unless you live in an affluent suburb like EG or Barrington, we have passed few meaningful climate change bills. So many more examples.

Why? Because our legislature remains in the grasps of people who identify as “D” to win elections but do not value transformative policies that could lift Rhode Islanders out of poverty and create real systemic change.
