P.S. What Secret Agent Dipshit Cowpoke (who's now selling John Deere tractors, apparently) is panicking about is that social media is how the GOP and its dark operatives radicalized and recruited citizens - and without social media, they can communicate but not *target.*

Social media *targeting* is how the GOP and hostile foreign intelligence agencies picked individuals and groups/profiles to hit with propaganda.

Some people they just wanted to repeat language ("stop the steal!")

Some they wanted to just attend rallies.

Others they wanted to *attack elected officials.*

Social media allowed the GOP *and their partners overseas* to choose individuals, track them, radicalize them.

THAT is why they're freaking out over losing social media while having unfettered free speech to write, publish, make podcasts, host gatherings, etc.

They need the algorithms of social media mega-platforms to target the propaganda and drive people to violent insurrection.

Which, by the way, should tell you what kind of liability these tech companies should bear.
