There must be a reckoning for those Republicans in Congress and the Senate who spread the lies, stoked the mobs, and participated in the insurrection with their illegitimate objections to the election results. Also, those in state legislatures, the RNC, state and county parties
who held sham hearings, signed onto lawsuits, passed resolutions, and called for Congress to reject the results of the election.
It wasn't political rhetoric. It was a conspiracy. There is a straight line from all these actions and words directly to the attack on the US Capitol.

These actions and words were intended to undermine and topple the legitimate government. They might pretend or now wish otherwise, but there was the malice of forethought.

state party chairs, right-wing broadcasters, and more participated in a violent physical attack on the very seat of our government. Worse, they willingly engaged in an assault on the Constitution and the rule of law.
They may be able to plea it wasn't their intent to kill
