The BEST part of culture war is that it filters out who your friends really are. I’ve had liberal friends completely disconnect from me over my views, despite the GLARING inequities in our friendship; I’ve done FAR more for them over our friendship than they ever reciprocated.

And you tell yourself: well, I was the one in a position to help at the time, and they’d do the same for me, right?

Wrong. They’re actually selfish, self centered brats, who place the value of their own opinions over the actions of others.

They never deserved your kindness in the first place. They’d rather join the mob out of fear of becoming it’s target by showing you any loyalty.

This happened when I was cancelled in 2018, and continues to happen.

Good riddance. I’ll make new friends that deserve what I give.
