Sunday thoughts as I set out to kick off a new adventure this week.

While I'm not fully ready to announce, I will say it's an area I may never have explored if not for the events of the past year.

Here are my biggest takeaways thus far:
1. No job is worth sacrificing your mental health.

That's it.
2. Plan financially.

It's never ok for an employer to leverage scare tactics such as "at least you still have a job" to overwhelm you with more responsibility with no additional compensation or adjustment to your workload.

A deep savings > a Louis stunt.
3. Imposter Syndrome is felt by all.

The more you fight through it, the easier it is to combat it.

I don't think I'll ever be "cured", but recognizing it & not letting it fully paralyze me is becoming much easier.
4. You are not entitled to share every step/thought process of your journey with anyone. Including spouses, family, friends, virtual friends, etc

Sometimes keeping things close is the best way to evaluate what is best for YOU. Too much outside influence can cause too much doubt.
5. The ONLY rule in Reinventing yourself is:

THERE ARE NO RULES.

We've all been humbled this past year and the playing field has never been more level.

Try. Fail. Iterate. Try again.

You will only be criticized by those doing LESS than you.

LFG!
