me: why is it so hard for me to make friends

also me trying to break the ice in new social settings when everyone else just wants to talk about a fun tv show: haha yeah that reminds me of an essay I was reading about vertical sovereignty and the monopolization of violence
I am my own worst enemy
I also watch tv I just am bad at conversations
A lot of you are saying this sounds great, but you misunderstand I'm just really bad at conversations. If the group was talking about an academic paper I'd be like "haha cool that reminds me of this gay anime"
