It's January 2021, and Facebook is still running Covid scam ads. Here's an invitation to make $1,220 for an obviously fake "clinical trial."
The ad takes you to a site called America Top Doctors, which totally sounds like a legit organization. Here's the homepage:
I'd reach out for comment, but the "contact" button on the site doesn't work—their links are just text.
Ah, so if you click Yes, it takes you to Acurian, a scammy data broker that poses as a healthcare company ... Gizmodo wrote about them a few years ago https://gizmodo.com/how-a-company-you-ve-never-heard-of-sends-you-letters-a-1795643539
And if you click No, you get sucked into a warren of scammy fake sites that prey on senior citizens ... brb gotta link my bank account on http://seniorsavings.com
Funny thing is, Facebook just made a tiny bit of money from me clicking this ad
