At the corner of several roads there are the remains of SWS signs, giving directions to Static Water Supply tanks that stored water for firefighting. Very faint, but theyre there #Portsmouth #Blitz80 /2
Many of the people killed in the blitz, civilian and services, are buried in Kingston Cemetery. There's a memorial to civilian casualties and these CWGC headstones that date from 10 Jan 1941 #Portsmouth #Blitz80 /3
