Pros and cons of live teaching.

Pros
1. Children see a comforting face
2. Possibly higher engagement knowing they are being seen
3. Tasks are explained in a familiar way.

Cons
1. Any children without access are disadvantaged.
2. No flexibility for parents
3. Internet load
4. Any technical issues result in lost learning
5. Teachers cannot offer individual support and feedback
6. Distracted children
7. Less support for children with SEND
8. Safeguarding
9. Setting up time

Cons far outweigh pros in my opinion.

For context we have a daily live session to say hello and set the day up. The teachers respond to Qs on teams and do small group or individual live sessions as required.

We are not saying no to live, but no to constant live which some of my parents are demanding.
