I was actually talking to my girls about this yesterday. Often twitter’s portrayal of relationships is narcissistic, toxic and negative and often instagram’s is idealistic, only ever showing highlights.

But they don’t have to be either. There is a nice middle.
We have unrealistic expectations as to what our partners/ spouses should do for us imo.

They are just human 😩.
That’s why people often feel like relationships are burdensome, the expectations are TOO high.
You want a freak in the sheets, cook, cleaner, therapist, best friend, all in ONE and at the SAME TIME.

Damn.
It’s a bit nuts. Lol.

We are all just human and limited, incredibly limited.

Cut each other some slack.
This is not to say that we shouldn’t have expectations because I’m a BIG advocate for having expectations but balance is also good.
The desire to self actualise in relationships will only create dissatisfaction.
