Fortunately some areas are leading the way. Sunderland, Cambridge and London all allow developers to reduce parking numbers to create car free and car lite neighbourhoods

Oh and a link to the article. My view is we don't need to wait for new tech to allow this. Car sharing and peripheral parking can enable this now in most areas.
