Too many places enforce high levels of parking at the expense of more homes, gardens and parks

Local authorities should parking maximums not parking minimums
Fortunately some areas are leading the way. Sunderland, Cambridge and London all allow developers to reduce parking numbers to create car free and car lite neighbourhoods

The other issue the article touches on is allowing parking away from peoples homes... T
This allows for more efficient parking layouts (see #MarmaladeLane by @WeTweetTOWN) and encourages car clubs and electric charging.
