Because ALL our hospitals and clinics will be overwhelmed. The saddest part of this fact is that it is preventable.
A government not focused on ‘Power, Popularity and Control’, who want to listen to scientific and medical advice, to focus on ‘Collaboration, Clarity, and safety’,

Who engage with those on the front line and listen, could prevent the spread, take hold of this crisis and support the country in returning to some sense of normality.
Stay at home means just that. A school place isn’t an entitlement to be taken advantage of as I have read here

Schools are places where the virus gets brought, picked up and spread out in the community because there is no social distancing and no PPE.
They are as safe as they can be.
Schools have never closed.
Schools care for the vulnerable and care for the community.

We need to get behind the collective lock down or risk collateral damage and more deaths (due to Covid and related constraints) than anyone in their worst nightmares wants to imagine. Our lives will be on hold a lot longer than we think unless we work together.
Stop blaming schools. The government will be forced in the end to listen to common sense but by then it could be too late for one of YOUR family, or a FRIEND of yours....

I know those who follow me perhaps share my views, so it’s a bit of an echo chamber, but genuinely, we need to put our differences aside, make this an apolitical problem that needs a solutions based approach with input and sense from all sectors
