Perhaps more people should read T&Cs. Then they'd know what they've agreed that app stores, web hosts, social media etc can do to deny them service. Even reading just one gives you a pretty good idea about the other T&Cs because they often copy and paste.
I remember reading the limits of how I'm allowed to use both my internet service and my web hosting over multiple providers over two decades. They have always given themselves the option to pull the plug on me for specific reasons (or even just "because").
Perhaps a lot of people see T&Cs as a box-ticking formality that will never be thought of by either party again.
Every T&C is a legal agreement. I've been frustrated over 2 decades that people have taken things/activities that used to not have T&Cs (such as buying from a shop) and slapping long, over-reaching T&Cs to them. But few have agreed with me or complained about that along the way.
I moan quite consistently about the increase of, over-reach of, poor wording and structure of T&Cs. But I also know what they tend to contain so am not surprised at what they allow. Basically, read T&Cs.
For instance, I avoid posting every @APOD photo to Twitter because the developer T&Cs say I have to have permission from the copyright holder and, for many photos on APOD, I can't demonstrate that *I* do.
I've had many people annoyed/frustrated at me over the years for not posting every photo/image. They've told me I'm ridiculous to think about Twitter (or US courts) enforcing the T&Cs I agreed to.
The images that do get added to tweets on the @apod account are the ones that the APOD editors haven't added "copyright..." to and have, instead, said "credit...".
Our interactions with social media have allowed copyright infringement to become incredibly commonplace without most people even realising that is what they are doing? But most of it isn't enforced and sometimes it is wrongly enforced.
