This is the primary reason that more men would be wise to consider good therapy and understanding their trauma and their emotions.

Seeing the way some men talk *to people they allegedly love* is chilling. https://twitter.com/kidxfx/status/1347951241880600583
If you love someone, you do not want to destroy or diminish them. This is the key thing a lot of men aren't brought up to understand.
The way I see men daily casually undermining their girlfriends, spouses and partners...we have created men so fragile that they cannot allow anyone to be their equals. They are constantly scanning for competition to their egos.

It doesn't need to be that way. Therapy!
I should note that IMO the best therapists work from the point of view of attachment theory -- family therapists usually -- because that unwraps the childhood programming that hurts men early.
Anyway a lot of men have an anger problem -- it's either explosive or so deeply suppressed as to be dangerous -- and maybe we should talk about that a lot more.
Because I like to be helpful when noting these things, here is one symptom of Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN) which I believe most men has experienced because most parents tell boys not to cry and to stuff their emotions down.

This sounds like many men, yes?
The good news is that this alienation from emotions/anger is totally curable.

It starts by naming your emotions.

And here's how to handle anger constructively -- i.e., without trying to pass it on to someone else by harming or verbally destroying them.
More perspective from Jonice Webb's "Running on Empty" about how acknowledging and befriending your emotions (including anger, shame, grief) can deepen your relationships and make you feel better supported.
