Fernando José Torres Sanz is a former Spanish footballer who played as a striker. Starting his career in Atletico Madrid in 2001, he went on to become one of the best strikers in Europe both in club level and international level.

Torres had the ability to find himself in goalscoring positions with his vision and lightning pace to get behind the defenders. He was a very hardworking striker with the willingness to chase defenders and put pressure on them. He was always a threat in the air.

Watching Fernando Torres play was one of my favourite things about my childhood. He made me fall in love with the game. El Nino, one of the greatest to ever grace the football pitch. He will forever be my idol @Torres
