People seem confused why I’m so animated by all this online censorship of “fascists” by big tech stuff. It’s not the always-illusory liberal notions of free speech

1) labeling people based on perceived political identification rather than actions will be used against communists
2) mechanisms by which one group of people can simply decide another group of people are unworthy of work, healthcare, safety etc is literally the wet dream of any fascist state that might arise. Sure, it’s useful now, but can you think of a more perfect tool for oppression?
3) I value accountability and transparency in our institutions. I don’t want banks, tech companies, and media having even more control. The free exchange between corporations, law enforcement, and government is already hellish. There is nothing radical about desiring more of this
4) Nothing about this requires being concerned for the well-being of political enemies. I don’t support those people’s aims or goals, I literally just see one step ahead and the people celebrating this win are manufacturing consent for the next time this power is wielded.
You are digging your own graves and congratulating yourselves on how great you are at digging holes.

Or, your personal politics come with zero personal risk and therefore you’re literally just hastening the consolidation of power because it’s in your interest.
Sure, use laws to prosecute wrong-doers. Do not empower tech, media, banks, and law enforcement to fight your political battles for you.

Your politics are more dangerous to capital and the bourgeois state than a bunch of MAGA people. How long until you’re a domestic terrorist?
