Was there a significant far -right conspiracist component to Trump's support before the killing of George Floyd? There surely was. Was Trump always likely to contest the results of a lost election claiming a stolen election? Yep. Was one likely to play on the other? Oh yes.

There are daft and counter-productive elements on the far left but none of them remotely amount to anything like what we've seen on the far right in the US. There is no left-wing equivalent to QAnon, for example.

Did leftists take to the state capitols touting assault weapons to protest aspects of anti-pandemic measures? And if they had done would Joe Biden have supported them? Did Leftists plot to kidnap a Republican state governor? Nothing to do with BLM, you notice.
