The problem with many of you is your way of thinking. It's amusing.

"The GOP = PDP"
"The Democratic party = APC."

You support PDP or lean PDP and then somehow see yourself as a Republican.

"If you support Trump's ban, it means you've played into the hands of APC govt."

Smh.
Laughable because political parties in the US are parties formed in a proper country, a country designed to work for every of its citizens. Reason there are clearcut ideological differences between both. Your Nigeria wasn't even structured to function as a country.
Nigeria, from its history that we all know, was founded as someone's business. Everything was designed for the comfort and administrative convenience of those running the business. This design was handed down to Nigeria's leaders and they've since held strongly to it.
This is why the Police isn't there to protect you but available to protect those running every unit and level of Nigeria Incorporated. Same reason some things don't change, irrespective of who is the president.
In every regime, the Army and Police and DSS act like they are hired to render personal services to the president and others running Nigeria Incorporated. So your country, by design, is not a country. It remains a special interest creation of the colonialists, foreign and local.
It therefore is sad to watch some of you project your APC/PDP leanings to the two major parties in the US. They're not the same. Stop deceiving yourself. When you know this, you will understand that supporting Twitter for banning Trump is an extension of my belief in a free state
My support for Twitter in this circumstance speaks further to my love for limited govt power. You're the president, but when you come into my library (thanks to @Ayosogunro), u dare not shout. If you do, I send u out. That's at the core of the American society - free enterprise.
Also, we can support Twitter and still condemn Nigeria govt's efforts to gag the media. They're not mutually exclusive. They are not even related. You will be making a case if the U.S govt censored individuals and I support it, or you see me supporting China for media censorship.
Twitter is not a govt. You can't claim my support for Twitter means I'm supporting govt censorship. They're not related.

Also, stop deluding yourself. Being PDP or PDP-leaning doesn't make you a Republican, just as being APC/APC-leaning doesn't make you a Democrat.
Nigeria's political parties are mostly interested in benefitting from the destructive structure the country deliberately runs. None of them is set up to make the citizen (including the poor, uneducated village girl in Ntalaku or Ushongo) a stakeholder in the Nigerian project.
Our conversation should therefore be how to give everyone a stake in Nigeria. After that, we can start talking about political parties with ideologies.

For now, it's the secret pile of funds available to the executives (for discretionary spending) that everyone is targeting.
