I know a bunch of folks who need to hear this and “I didn’t support Trumps hatred I just voted for the economy” is literally just saying that you supported hatred to personally enrich yourself instead of just for the fun of hating people, and that’s not a comforting distinction
But I guess how were you to know the dude who openly bragged about sexually assaulting women and mocked disabled people while on stage and had been sued for dishonest dealings numerous times and was a literal slum lord wouldn’t be a great president?
It will never cease to amaze me that folks feel literally no embarrassment telling me, without outright saying, I don’t care if you lose access to health care and safe housing and anti discrimination protections as long as I make 3.6 percent more this year than I did last year.
I feel like we're drowning in false equivalencies this week. People are literally out here like "Well I know there was an armed insurrection that killed five people but if you can't see the perspective of those patriots you're the one creating division. Can't we unite and heal?!"
Anyway, when I get "caught up in the moment" I eat a whole thing of Ben and Jerry's or shout "Oh damn!" in a movie theater, I don't take over the Capitol to intimidate Congress while they are certifying the results of a lawful election because that's, you know, sedition or whatev
