He draws from a lot of Blavatsky's theosophical esotericism, and Hancock's pseudoarch (& is also really into Bigfoot), but it's David Wilcock and Cory Goode's ancient alien pseudoarch theories that stand out above the rest. Angeli mentions them by name several times.
Goode and Wilcock are both quite active on Youtube. On Jan 5 Wilcock streamed one of his sessions for 3 hours where he spoke of many things enabling of Angeli's (& others) Q+aliens beliefs. In fact, some people in the comments stated they were enroute to DC.
In addition, Angeli's misappropriation of First Nations shamanism comes from strong pop culture influences. HP Lovecraft is one of his big influences (part of which is tied into the alien thing), but a major influence are the Captain America comics.
Angeli believes comics are venues for soft disclosure of government secrets. Angeli says he is part of the super soldier program, like Cap. Am., but is in a special position where he is allowed to reveal some of the information about the program that is hidden in the comics.
Angeli (he's not the only one, this is a widespread belief) believes superheroes like Cap. Am. are actually representations (again, the disclosure thing) of First Nations shamans from deep time. Wearing a First Nations headdress is a display of Angeli's "super soldier" status.
Things like this are why I've been developing a project over the past little while on a social network analysis of the ties between pseudoarch, NRMs, & the alt-right (I've been watching Wilcock & Goode's YT channels for a while as part of this). Because the connections are there.
It's also why I've been concerned with how pseudoarch is presented in pop culture (like what I wrote about in my Lost City Explorer & Arkworld reviews). And just generally why my PhD research focus is what it is. Because these are things we really need to pay attention to.
