once I went to a frat party at the University of Illinois because the members of the fraternity had taken a mixology course and they were giving out free drinks but nobody told me there was a Country/Western theme so I showed up in normal clothes and stood out like a sore thumb

What in the fuck is going on right now?
Just finished Boys and Girls in America. I don’t know if it’s the music or the fact that a bunch of strangers are being nice to me but I’m smiling from ear to eat right now. Music is a beautiful thing and it sucks that we can’t all go to a show together but this is awesome
So far The Hold Steady are 2/2 in my book. I’m going to play guitar tomorrow until my fingers stop moving because riffs are the most important thing in the world to me right now. Let me blast some cigs so we can keep this train moving. Stay Positive is up next.
