How do I feel about the season?

Success. Put into context, no off season, and a new QB, and the colts were able to win 11 games, and make the playoffs. (Thread)
There’s steps to rebuilding. First become good (make playoffs) then become great (win in playoffs) then become elite (make a deep playoff run/contend for Super Bowls)

The colts are at the “good” phase.
Yeah a lot of stuff could’ve happened that the colts could’ve jumped on. (Loss vs Jacksonville and Pittsburgh, Texans losing week 17 to Tennessee) But think of all the things that went their way (4 games end with turnover by defense, Miami losing week 17)
The colts are in a good spot right now. The problem is the long-term. Ballard has built a nice foundation, but NEEDS to get ELITE players at the key positions (QB, WR/TE, LT, EDGE, CB)

Thankfully he has this off season to do that.
While the season ended in a spot fans wouldn’t love, think of it like this:

2019 season, week 17 we were all peaking our eyes watching the 7-8 colts lose to the JAGS with Jacoby Brissett playing terrible.

The colts made the playoffs two years after their FRANCHISE QB retired.
So yeah it sucks right now, but in about 2-3 weeks (hopefully) optimism can return to colts fans, and they’ll be ready for the fall again where we’ll see if the Colts can make the next step, from good, to great.
