Exposing some football myths

[THREAD BELOW]
Cristiano Ronaldo got to the top of football through "hard work"

Ronaldo is probably top 5 most technically gifted players of all time and the idea that someone was able to reach the top of a century old sport through 'hard work' is idiotic
Pele was a 'fraud'

Yes his career is heavily inflated with friendlies but this doesn't take away that he revolutionized the game with his talent. He was a phenomenon. Not the GOAT but nowhere near a fraud
"Can he do it in Stoke"

Foreign footballers will no longer struggle with English football due to the fact 'English' football is finished.
Pre 2008 the BPL was far more intense & physical but in todays game it's no more physical than Serie A / Bundesliga
Mourinho is a defensive coach

Mourinho not only revolutionized English football in the 00s with a free-scoring 4-3-3 when 4-4-2 was the norm but also broke the La Liga record for most goals / points in a single season with the great 2012 Madrid side (outscoring Pep's Barca)
England's golden generation

The 00s England team are labeled failures due to not winning a trophy but both Brazil & Portugal (who KO'd England) bosted the talents of R9, Ronaldinho, Figo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rui Costa, Rivaldo & Kaka. England lost to more talented teams
Guardiola wins games with goals

Since Guardiola became a manager in the 07/08 season his team has had the best defensive record (least goals conceded) in 9/11 seasons. He wins leagues with clean sheets.
If Fergie was still here

SAF is the greatest of all time but he ruled football with an iron fist. Being aggressive, Intense & mentally testing his players. Footballers aren't the same anymore. What made him great would be his downfall in todays game
