I've been noodling around with some of @Wonkette's articles that had Trump tweets in them, and thought I'd post some tips for whatever help it might give other folks trying to fill holes in their own archived articles.

The bestest news is that in most cases, Trump's old tweets will still show up as plain text (but stripped of photos & video).

So I'm only going to go over a few situations where the plain text is borked and ends up looking like this example:
That seems to happen mostly when the original tweet had a link in it. Not only URLs to web articles, but also other Twitter handles, and when you've posted tweets in a threaded series. That's what happened in the example above; the paired tweets originally looked like this:
Since Trump only learned to thread tweets in March 2017, most earlier multi-part tweet remnants should be in plain text on your pages.

Sadly, CNN's piece on Trump's 1st threaded tweet now only includes the second part's text.

I'm not planning on going through all of @Wonkette's archives and replacing borked Trump tweets with screenshots from FactBase, but I might when I link back to an older article. It's kind of a pain.

I also link to the Factbase URL for the image, too; here's the article above:
