The people who purposely blurred the lines of protesting and rioting when it suit their partisanship pretending to care about tech oligarchies in an abstract way now when liberals used to take principles and values...tends to be quite funny to me.
It’s become very clear our society (globally) is not very liberal anymore even though it pretends to be.

Even the neoliberals cannot maintain they’re truly liberal anymore...they’re just authoritarian types who caucus with the liberals who like intentional trade (I do too.)
The question is where do we go from here? I certainly don’t know.

American conservatism used to be based in classically liberal values going forward after WWII. Right now, the populist types have too much power, yet believe they don’t...
...they’re the loudest faction of the coalition. They confuse “popularity” with immediate gratification instead of focusing on good solid governance to achieve policy goals.

And trust me, I get that the illiberal left is unfair. I get that they slander.
But does that make it worth what just happened?

It’s time to move back to a common set of classical liberal values and push the left to uphold their former values.
