The reason social media websites like Parlor exist is because other websites like Twitter and Facebook have essentially censored dissenting opinions and thought. Thus, forcing those affected to find outlets elsewhere.

This is dangerous because what is happening is the creation of two echo chambers: one for the left, and one for the right. Where no ones beliefs, ideas, or opinions are challenged, and their only feedback are from like minded individuals.

No matter whether someone's statement is argumentative, contradictory, or even offensive, I'd rather they have the freedom to say it freely where I have the opportunity to confront it as opposed to an echo chamber where like-minded people will only feed into it.
