This woke nonsense is real and dangerous. The virus has consumed American academia and its impact is being felt globally. 10-15 years ago when I was at a US college you could see the early signs but you could still speak against it. If we do not stop it Indian colleges are next.

This censorship of a POTUS, this obsession with good vs evil groupthink, this membership signaling via pronouns, the utter dismissal of any and every instance of merit as privilege and nothing but privilege, the worldview of hierarchy of victimhood has infected “RW” thought also.

To understand wokeism you have to understand being young in a diverse, multicultural and increasingly irreligious country that is the richest society ever on Planet Earth. There is a bankruptcy of meaning and purpose. And the youth want idealism. Many will live, and die, for it.

It is difficult to describe how nauseatingly disgusting I find the phrase “people of colour” in modern day America and when “South Asians” talk of being “allies” not just “model minorities”.

These folks now want to copy paste that in India without any sense of history and declare Hinduism to effectively be the same as white supremacy. Also it is very clear that they find any conventional family structure to be deeply offensive. They are nihilists first and foremost.

But there is always an opportunity in the biggest of problems. Wokeism is caused by the collapse of Christianity in Christendom and that can never be reversed. You can never ask an educated man or woman to believe in such a “revealed truth”. It is up to India now to show the way.
