The alt-right and alt-left extremists stirred up a fake brand of populism that played on white grievances and lies. They got them angry, then they lied to them. The media influencers and by extension, their platforms were the impetus for the current shithole country we live in.

Our American culture propped up and popularized the lowest form of shitposting trolls it’s ever seen. The snark and fuck yo feelings stance is everywhere. From rap music, to Adult Swim to TYT to Bill Burr to Fox News and Trump, it’s all shitposting. People love it. We do it too.

But some people are professionals and make a living off of it. Some people use the trolling to get paid like TYT and Fox or even Snitch9 and Lil Pump. However, the trolls come home to roost and sometimes the shitposting turns around to bite. Some already got burned and more will.

The shitposting combined with lies seems to have two common effects. One effect is to lull the audience into a cynical anti-participation, hate society mode. The other effect is to animate their anger and make them become activists who also push lies to others... like a cult.

Once the cult is active their purpose is to spread the message and convince others to participate in their activities (& spend money). Some cults are less harmful than others but it depends on what they want you to do. Some promote trash music. Others ask you to vote for idiots.

This week, we saw an extreme version of shitposting gone way wrong. Trump was a Twitter shitposter. Shitpost Twitter is in disarray right now mourning his loss. But Trump took his shitposts and those who love asshole behavior all the way to the WH and unfortunately the Capitol

This week, like at all of his rallies, Trump spewed his shitpost live for a crowd as a stream of thought. Unlike most days when he’s just feeding his ego and stoking animosity, on Wed. he gave a directive. He pointed them in a specific direction & let their programming take over.

America got to witness the consequences of allowing a shitposter to occupy the highest seat of power. When Trump won, the shitposters, cynics and trolls were happy. Their point of view was affirmed and rewarded. This week though, we saw the full display of who they really are.
