I must admit, I'm still in shock and awe at today's #NioDay. It goes without saying that expectation was very high. But there was so much more than I could ever have imagined. Here is a list of my highlights, for us all to look forward to....
1. A new program that allows NIO users to track their carbon reductions, and in turn receive NIO points (carbon credits).
2. Battery Swap 2.0: accommodate 3x more batteries than prior generation, + a daily capacity of 312 swaps. A single tap of the button the swap will be initiated. 500 swap stations launching by the end of the year.
3. New battery: 150kw/h solid state battery. Improves energy density by 50%. 360 wh/kg. ES8 850km , ES6 900km, and EC6 90km range. Sedan will have 1000km+ range. Delivery commences Q4 next year.
4. ADAM: NIO super computing. The most powerful mobile processing system in a production vehicle. 48 a78 cpu cores, 256 3rd gen Tensor cores, over 8000 CUDA cores, and 68 billion transistors. Total computing power 1016 tops, surpassing the totality of 7 #TSLA fsd competitors.
5. This one is GENIUS for many environmental as well as commercial reasons. 'NIO Life', a new clothing line which makes clothes from the excess materials of the vehicle manufacturing process. Just think of the markets the brand can penetrate with this.
6. The NIO ET7 (Sedan), which is offered with two battery options - 70 kWh and 100 kWh for a NEDC range of respectively: more than 500 km (311 miles) and more than 700 km (435 miles). In the future (late 2022), there will be a 150 kWh battery version (1,000 km (620 miles)....
It comes with a glass roof, a very modern & advanced dashboard with HUD as standard, 10.2" instrument cluster and 12.8" center display, as well as 23 speakers (as standard). Also, the worlds first UWB digital key (google this, its incredible!) $NIO
7. Lastly, the price points. So: ET7 (70 kWh) $69,185. ET7 (100 kWh) $78,142. ET7 Premier edition (100 kWh) $81,230. Highly competitive, and a bracket that seems to cater for all. All include BaaS $NIO #NIO #NioDay2021 #NIODay
