Actually, many authors have spoken about the cultural continuity present throughout the continent. In the words of Mbiti "there are sufficient elements which make it possible for us to discuss African concepts of god as a unity on a continental scale". https://twitter.com/ellamorena_/status/1347908947827634177
Samuel Floyd jr also writes about this, saying that despite the variety of religious beliefs and linguistic groups, fundamental cultural concepts are found throughout Africa, from West to East to South.
Ofc Cheikh Anta Diop wrote extensively on this, linking the cultures of the ancient Nile Valley to the kingdoms of West Africa that came thousands of years later.
Raboteau also writes "similar modes of perception, shared basic principles, and common patterns of ritual were (are) widespread throughout Africa"
Cedric Robinson also writes on the culture of resistance that is uniquely shared among African peoples in 'Black Marxism'. So it is not wrong to speak of a shared African culture throughout the continent and diaspora
