IOT devices administered by others provide third party access to private info like when you sleep,when you're away& when your child might be home alone.This type of info can be collected, aggregated and harvested. In worse case scenario,used to plan a home invasion.

What can you do?
If u care for privacy so much that u can adapt here are few alternatives

Google Browser- DuckDuckgo
DDG distances itself from other search engines by not profiling its users and showing all users same results for a search, it also blocks trackers from sites

Gmail- Protonmail
An open-sourced email service based in Switzerland which has the best privacy laws, uses end-to-end encryption&zero access encryption to secure emails. This means no one can decrypt and read your emails. They don't ask for any personal info while signing up

Google Drive- Dropbox
Dropbox is a great competitor to Google. It’s easy to use, encrypts your data& offers two-factor authentication. It’s good to know that Dropbox runs on open-source software, meaning that anyone can look for vulnerabilities in its code.
