the term "looting," which was on the tip of so many tongues when desperate people were being drowned in hurricane katrina, seems to have gone missing when reporting on a bunch of aggrieved white people stole stuff from the us capitol.

its just really really really glaring this week how our society - the media, politicians, the general public, law enforcement - has really really really different reactions to white people doing things and black people doing things.

its just really out there this week.

and honestly i keep saying it because i comment on everything. but i really really hope white people are seeing it this week. i probably give white people more benefit of the doubt than a lot of black folks, but at the same time the... blindness is something even i can see.

you have to do better. we are together as a society here. especially in america. there just cant be these damn silos based on race. we're all together. and if that's the case, we have to all be treated the same. no exceptions.
