no but every community I'm a a part of has an antiblackness problem. The cosplay community has antiblackness problem, the artist community has an antiblackness problem, the gaming community DEFINITELY has an antiblackness problem
white suprmacy and antiblackness permeate all aspects of these creative communities. Black people just want to exist without y'all supporting some racists and y'all refuse to change or say anything because "ublubublu CANCEL CULTURE!"
I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but these communities aren't 100% safe for us like they are for nonblack ppl. We don't feel safe talking about our discomfort because we're afraid racists will harass us, and that privileged folks that should be advocating for us will see us as
"needlessly cancelling someone" when they are literally a racist. I'm shitting.
It's exhausting to have had all the discourses we've had this past year. The performative activism in which you all promised black people you would listen to them, uplift them, and provide opportunities for them only do so in times of severe crisis or trauma.
So many nonblack creatives have shown their asses in not wanting to uplift and listening black creatives in order to support their bigoted industry friends. so many people are acting like victims in response to it. I'm so sick.
Y'all don't want to listen to us, because you all are comfortable in your little bubbles where you aren't affected by these issues. Because YOU got a big following and industry connections. It doesn't matter if they're a bigot as long as you get paid.Tuh.
And on the chance that you do express that you want to listen to us, this is most of y'all:
