Dear Cot @Nazarene,
For sure, Jesus prayed. He prayed in the midst of immense difficulty.
Then he got off his knees & walked with resolution toward Jerusalem, to Herod's house, to Pilate's palace, and to the cross where he died between thieves under the watch of the government. https://twitter.com/Nazarene/status/1347651628057456640

If the Church of the Nazarene is just going to be a praying church in the midst of current global debacles and crises, I guess...go for it.
But there are hundreds of thousands (millions?) looking for a Christ-like leadership that doesn't worry about political or institutional ramifications, but says clearly what is unrighteous and unjust, and then repents in the other direction toward righteousness and justice.
I, for one, am not going to lean only on thoughts and prayers. And I will not lead my little church only in such things. I will lead them into the politics of the Nazarene who - in essentials - declared justice for the poor, incarcerated, sick, oppressed, and indebted.
