On Miami/Neville:

Atlanta United’s success under Tata Martino is because Eales and Bocanegra knew that a vital component was instilling an identity that represented the club AND city. Tata - who convinced Almirón on the project - would echo the fan base w/ his tactics/squad.
Inter Miami - in the similar predicament as a new club - has to prioritize these similar elements as Miami, the Latin American capital of the world, is fueled by its multicultural fan base. MLS clubs - perhaps more so than other leagues - need their teams to mirror the community
Diego Alonso was a good idea - he came from a strong resume that included Liga MX success etc but due to circumstances the club, McDonough or DA couldn’t control, it just didn’t work out BUT I think the idea was correct.
To me, and this is just my opinion and if it happens, Phil Neville is not the right call as it’s obviously more tied to David Beckham’s personal relationship than anything else.

I think Vieira would have been smarter and maybe even go all out and at least look at S.A...
...as again I use Atlanta as an example. They made a mistake with De Boer and realized once again that the best way to succeed again...is to return to its original strategy, which is why Heinze is perfect.

Let’s see what happens but for me, this is the wrong move.
I will say this too. If Neville takes this on, and I’m not sure about his Spanish, he should follow in the footsteps of Bielsa and how he approached the Leeds job before accepting. The first thing he did was understand the city, the people and the culture. Then the football came.
